Our History

R J Daum Construction Company, established in 1936 by Raymond J. Daum and Wade A. Perong, was incorporated in 1949 in the State of Nevada and carries both an “A” Engineering License and “B” General Building Contractors License in the states of California and Nevada. Today, Harold I. Perong (son of Wade A.  Perong) and Mark A. Perong (grandson of Wade A. Perong and son of Harold I. Perong), have controlling interest as President and Vice-President, respectively, of R.J. Daum Construction Company.

R.J. Daum Construction Company has been involved in Commercial Construction since the company’s start. Over the past 70 years, R.J. Daum Construction Company has maintained a strong presence in the Telecommunications field by providing a wide range of services to Pacific Bell / SBC / AT&T, such as the construction of new Central Offices, building additions, remote mountain top microwave stations, building improvement projects such as new switch preparation, tenant improvement projects, chiller and fan unit replacements, and electrical switchgear and engine change outs.

In addition to our work in the Telecommunications sector, we have also been busy building area schools, fire stations, colleges and hospitals for many years. It is this diversity in our projects that allows us to respond so quickly and efficiently to our clients needs.
R.J. Daum Construction Company is a union contractor with affiliation to the Carpenters and the Laborers Union. This affiliation allows R. J. Daum Construction Company to have an unlimited base of employees who are trained in the construction field.
